The snow has melted in most places of Caeleste, besides those that are prone to snow throughout all seasons. Birds are chirping, the nice weather bringing them back home from winter migrations. You will also notice many other animals reappearing throughout. Weather temperatures have risen but often a cool crisp air will still bite at coats during the evening and night hours. Enjoy the lovely weather of spring for summer may not be as kind.

  • Member of the Month
Rather new to this large crazy family, Boaz is often seen in the cBox or in Caeleste's discord channel. A rather friendly, outgoing personality, Boaz is not afraid to make new friends and get involved in any plots!
  • Thread of the Month
    let’s play a game
A touching, heartbreaking, thread. Leonidas and Roxana come to find their beautiful child viciously murdered. This thread can be considered the start of a war as Leonidas will not rest until he finds whomever did this.
  • Couple of the Month
    Vithmiris & Slythe
Caeleste's resident vampire couple, Emperor Vithmiris and Slythe have offered a rather interesting dynamic to their pairing. While the pair have a tendency for violence, the two also have their tender moments - as fleeting as they are.
  • Character of the Month
The newly crowned Greeshma Emperor has certainly made a name for himself among many in Caeleste in many ways and has made it no secret his ambitions for the kingdom of Greeshma. We can't wait to see what he does next!
  • Quote of the Month
“Run along back to that mountain in that frozen hell you call home. And next time you come strolling out from between his sheets, I suggest you wash yourself. I could smell you a mile away.”

Speech Thoughts

Strong winds rolled through the ruins, lifting snow that had fallen during the night. Forcing the white powder to dance across hoofprints left behind the lone figure that walked at a rapt and hurried pace, the howling wind muffled the sound of the armor that coated the massive stallion. Pausing the stallions tri-horned face turned to look behind him, blood-red orbs gleaming under the black metal helm that obscured most of his features. Slow puffs of hot air rolled from his nostrils, causing the gray-black flesh to twitch when a stray powder flew into the warm heat. Snorting he swung his head back the way he came and continued walking, by the time he reached the start of the ruined battlegrounds he was chilled yet slightly warm from the long hard treck. Pinning his ears back the armored stallion raised his muzzle and inhaled deeply, cold mountain air flowed into his lungs through his mouth. Closing his slightly parted lips he continued walking, sweeping his muzzle over large pieces of broken wood and other shattered pieces he raised his head up slowly and glanced around. This was going to be tricky, flicking his tail he carefully walked around or over pieces of wood that were in his way.

Raising his head he took in the ruins, his gaze drawn towards the large wall that still stood. Tilting his head to the side he wondered how long this place had been standing, he spied tattered pieces of cloth and other materials that had worn away by the wind and snow. Snorting he trotted towards large pieces that still held together, gathering them slowly and quickly he tossed them over his broad back. Once he had multiple pieces of material on his back he spied a large broken flat piece that overhung a part of the wall, pricking his ears he started walking towards it. A low groan started under his hooves, freezing he looked around. The groan had stopped and he continued walking, it was then he noticed that he was walking on a large section of wood that was weakening under his weight. He lifted his front right leg and placed it down just as a loud crack sounded under him, nickering in alarm he rushed over the now breaking platform. His legs carried him very swiftly over the wood before it fully fell out from under him, prancing on the snow he turned and stared at the way he came. A gaping chasm of black was open to him, his ears fell to the side in annoyance at realizing he wouldn't be able to go back the way he came. He turned his head to look towards the wall he had been walking towards, granted he was closer to it than earlier but he was more annoyed at the fact that he now had to find a way around the chasm before him.

Once he walked up to the wall he noticed a large section of it was draped in darkness, frowning he snorted and stepped into the shelter. The wind didn't bite into the little amount of flesh that peeked out of his armor but it did offer some amount of warmth, he bowed low and dropped the material to the snow. It landed with a soft thump, he busied himself making a makeshift bed out of the tattered cloth. Once that was done he raised his head and noticed that no wind was coming from the other side of the shadowed part of the shelter, his ears pinned themselves to his head as he walked around his makeshift bed. The muffled sound of his hooves in snow changed to the loud clop of stone under hoof, startled he leaned down and sniffed at the stone. A thick powdered mix of snow and dust rose up to his nose, forcing a sneeze from him. Red orbs narrowed under the helm and he walked through the passage, his hooves pounding on the stone the only solace he had. He was walking for sometime before he came across an intricate network of stairs, it wasn't really stairs but more of a smooth path that leveled out so the one walking could stand more comfortable.

Hesitating he walked up the stairs, he walked upwards for several minutes. By the time he reached a level platform he was standing next to a window, glancing out the sun had already set and by the time he made it back down it would be colder and darker. Sighing he shook his head and kept walking, his hooves struck the top of another platform. He had lost track of time and knew it was darker, outside and within. He spied a door through the shadows, he started to move forward when the shadows suddenly brightened and let him see. Startled he eyed the area warily, every part of his body shrieked at him to run. Yet he was known for ignoring his instincts, flicking his tail he walked towards the door and nudged it open. It fell at the touch of his muzzle, eliciting a shriek from his throat. Rearing up he pawed the air before dropping down, he stood nervously in the doorway unsure if he should walk in or not. Making up his mind he walked into the room, there was more dust in here than snow, as soon as he crossed the threshold a loud whoosh rolled through and the room lit up with multiple flares of fire from large bowls hanging from the wall. He stood there gaping at the room, his ears twitched as he looked around shocked and stunned. Where had this place come from and why had he not noticed it before, it was obvious he was in a tower but one that couldn't be seen from where he just was. What drew his attention more was a large pool of clear water in the center of the room, water that gave of heat and had large steamy shades rising from it. Narrowing his eyes he walked cautiously towards the pool, stopping he lifted one of his six legs and dipped it into the water. Warmth flowed around the flesh that peeked under his armor, he let out a delighted nicker. The sound rolling throughout the room with a deep baritone, he wondered if he should tell his king this. A bright glow shone from the water and he jerked his leg back, the pool's reflection shimmered and soon the top of the tower and his face was gone, in its place was the inside room of the Citadel. A room that belonged to his king, his jaw dropped. No, it couldn't be what he was thinking. "My Lord Vithmiris?" The deep baritone voice called out hesitantly as Magnus peered into the water, staring into a pool that shouldn't exist. In a room of a tower that shouldn't exist.

“Excuse me, but I'm a fuckmothering vampire.”
(Emperor) played by perm_identity amore, posted schedule 01-13-2018, 10:36 PM. link #2
When hope is gone, undo this lock, and send me forth on a moonlit walk.
Ever since taking over Dead Horse Ridge, Vithmiris had felt like he was being stretched thin. It had been a very long time since he’d been in such a position, and back then it had been far easier anyway, given that he ruled from the front of his army most of the time and had envoys and such to deal with things. But now, now he had citizens to ensure the safety of, as well as ensuring those who sought positions were capable of filling the requirements for them, and then on top of all that, attempting to make contact with other rulers, and tending to the worker’s constant questions and needs in regards to the citadel repairs and renovations.

He was exhausted.

It also didn’t help that he was dying for Slythe to cave in and commit to becoming a full vampire, so much so that he was so very close to caving himself and just giving up and taking her regardless. It was infuriating that she was being so stubborn about it, and yet it was also a rather endearing quality about her. It made him wonder what kind of mother she would make.

Walking into their bedroom, Vithmiris collapses onto their enormous mattress with a huff and stares out at the fireplace with the decorative mirror above it. All he can think about is having a bath as he stares at his lack of reflection, but a voice calling his name makes his ears twitch and he sits up, frowning at the mirror as it rippled like the surface of water.

“How in the bloodsoaked hell did you…” At first, his voice is a low irritated growl as he looks at the reflection that was no longer his room, but the inside of a tower and the face of another. There were many parts, many secrets, still left for him to uncover throughout the Ridge, and specifically within the Citadel, and whilst many were known to both him and others, some were only known to him.

Make that one less, now, though.

“What are you doing there?” His voice is still a little annoyed as he gets to his aching feet and approaches the mirror. Thankfully the giant on the other side hadn’t stepped into the pool entirely; else he would have ended up stuck part-way through the mirror-portal. That would have been a scene to witness, but incredibly inconvenient and annoying. What exactly created the connection between the pool and the mirror, Vithmiris hadn’t a clue, but it made for convenient get-aways from his responsibilities should he need a break without being spotted.
